The Athletics have acquired Ike Davis from the Pittsburgh Pirates for cash considerations according to beat reporter Susan Slusser.
Ike Davis posted a .234 batting average for the Pirates last season and was designated for assignment on November 20th. In all likelihood, the move is for depth as the A’s already have Brandon Moss, Billy Butler and Stephen Vogt available for the first base spot.
